Aromatic Herb Seasoning

1 oz. Nutmegs
1 oz. Mace
2 oz. Cloves
1 oz, Bay Leaves
3 oz. Basil
3 oz. Marjoram
2 oz. Winter Savory
3 oz. Thyme
1/4 oz. Cayenne Pepper
1/2 oz. Lemon Peel Granules
1 teaspoon Garlic Granules

Mix, Pulverize all herbs to a powder and store in an airtight container.


Herbed Lemon Seasoning

2 Tb lemon peel
1 Tb sweet basil
1 1/2 Tsp thyme
1 1/2 Tsp oregano
1 1/2 Tsp paprika
1 1/2 Tsp toasted sesame seeds
2 tsp parsley flakes
1 tsp celery seed
1 tsp onion flakes
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper

Sprinkle on salads or meats. Add to marinades.


Italian Dressing Mix

1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 tablespoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
2 tablespoons salt

In a small bowl, mix together the garlic salt, onion powder, sugar, oregano, pepper, thyme, basil, parsley, celery salt and regular salt. Store in a tightly sealed container.
To prepare dressing, whisk together 1/4 cup white vinegar, 2/3 cup canola oil, 2 tablespoons water and 2 tablespoons of the dry mix.


Parmesan Thyme Dressing

1 Tsp. Thyme Leaf
1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
2/3 cup Buttermilk
1 cup Mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. Garlic
1/2 tsp. Vegi-Sal

Add all ingredients and whisk by hand. Let stand in refrigerator several hours before using.


Thyme Dressing

1 Tbls. Thyme leaves
1/2 cup Olive oil
1/2 cup Buttermilk
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. Garlic
1 tsp. VegiSalt

Add all ingredients and whisk by hand. Let stand in refrigerator several hours.


Thyme Pesto

1 1/2 cups fresh parsley
1/2 cup fresh thyme
4 cloves garlic
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 teas. salt
1/4 teas. pepper
1/2 cup pine nuts

Wash parsley and thyme and allow moisture to dry and leaves to wilt slightly. Grind in food processor. Peel garlic and grind in food processor. Mix all in a bowl. Store fridge in glass jar.


Valentines Tomato Sauce

1-3 cans tomato paste
one or two cans tomato soup
fresh minced garlic
meat or vegetables to flavor
1 ts white pepper
1/2 ts cayenne
2-3 tbsp oregano
2-3 tbsp thyme
2-3 tbsp basil
1-2 tbsp sage
1/2 to 1 tbsp ginger
1-2 tbsp damiana leaves
Parmesan, breadcrumbs (optional)

Mix the paste with the soup and stir together, heating over a low to medium-low temperature. Add water to thin if needed. Add the meat and/or vegetables, and mix thoroughly. Then add the other ingredients while stirring the sauce. Cook for 5 minutes and serve over a stuffed pasta, such as tortellini or ravioli for best effect.
